I have a great admiration & respect for people who take off to explore the globe on their own. I know from personal experience that it’s not for me. It’s not that I’m incapable or afraid, it’s that I don’t want to sit there in awe wishing the people I love were there to see it.
I want to get off the bike at the end of the day & marvel at the journey.
I want to pick apart the other’s thoughts to see what they took from the experience. Their perspective. We all interpret the world differently…

I want to be enlightened by what my companions felt. I’m lucky that I get to travel the way I do. I’m blessed that it’s with my best-friend. We aren’t perfect, but in these moments were as close to perfection as one can reach.
& really, today was all about the “wooooooow”s & “oh my god”s.

We had been told to travel the Routes Des Granes Alpes when we were still in the planning stages of this trip. Told that they were unmissable. In my wildest dreams, I couldn’t fathom the beauty of them. & not just beautiful, but it was like every 20km, the landscape kept changing on us in the most unpredictable & glorious ways.

Seriously, factor that in the next time you’re planning an adventure. Take it into consideration & go.
